Oil to Hydrate
Taking oils internally helps your skin to stay healthy and hydrated. Make sure your olive oil is uncooked for your body to be able to use it. Grass fed beef suet, free range pork lard, duck fat, fish oils and coconut oil are healthy fats that should be eaten daily to create a wonderful luster and increased radiance to the skin and hair. More importantly, they are the building blocks for brain and nerve tissue, and the fuel the brain and heart prefer.
Using natural oils on the skin and hair directly is a great way to enhance hydration of the largest organ of the body – the skin. Jojoba oil is wonderful for the face, as it is similar to the body's own facial oils. Tallow, olive oil, almond oil, shea butter, coconut oil and butter can all be applied directly. They help hold moisturize and feed the skin.
Taking a bath gives the skin massive hydration. Applying oil to your skin while you are still damp helps your body to stay hydrated... consider a foot bath if a full bath isn't possible. Oil your feet while they are moist.
Each morning after our first liter of warm water enhanced with minerals we oil pull for 20 minutes with coconut oil and each night before bed we oil our nostrils and faces with shea butter. Oil is an essential part of our daily hydration practice.
